Course Description

This 4-day session is designed to ● Understand the United States Constitution. ● Understand what the preamble means. ● Examine what each article of the Constitution provides to residents or requires of residents. ● Understand the powers of each branch of government. ● Analyze the checks and balances for each of the branches of government. ● Discuss what is the purpose of the Equal Protection Clause and how it is applied under various levels of scrutiny. ● Analyze what Due Process requires if the government takes away an individual’s rights. ● Understand who is protected by the Bill of Rights and Why.
